Have you ever asked people what words they would use to describe you? This is one of my favorite activities to do with new clients because it’s always so eye-opening for them.
It helps you see yourself through a whole new perspective and can be wildly trans formative. If you’re looking for a boost in life, I encourage you to try it! If you do let me know how it goes 🙂
One of the words people always share with me during this activity is positive. I’ll be honest this warms my heart because being a positive person is something I pride myself on. And hearing it from others shows me that my actions are aligned with my values.🥰
But being positive doesn’t just happen by chance. It’s a cognitive choice. I’ll be honest, over the years I’ve had plenty of reasons to fall into a negative thought process, but I refused. Instead, I continuously trained my mind to focus on the positive.
Fun fact – your mind is a muscle and just like any other muscle in your body you can train it to be stronger and perform better! In my opinion, it’s the most powerful muscle you have. If you master your mindset, you truly master your life.
Here are 4 books that I continuously go back to and reread when I need to reignite my positive mindset. Yes, reread…I’ve read each of these multiple times now. 🤓

YOU ARE A BADASS – JEN SINCERO
How to stop doubting yourself and start living an awesome life. This book is fun, witty, relatable and makes personal growth so damn fun!
THE ENERGY BUS- JON GORDON
This is a short fable that lifts you up, reconnects, and motivates you in life.
I AM THAT GIRL – ALEXIS JONES
This might be one of the first female empowerment books I actually enjoyed. It’s all about embracing your authentic truth in a down to earth way.
THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI – ROBIN SHARMA
This is the book that changed my life. We all have low points in life, points where we feel so alone and are questioning everything about who we are and what we really want. My time came after my mom passed away and I was diagnosed with melanoma for the second time. It was probably one of my most confusing and lonely times in life. This book helped me discover the right meaning of life for me and reorganize my life in a way that brought me so much more peace and happiness. I recommend it to anyone looking for more positivity, peace, happiness, and fulfillment in life.
I hope these books give you the boost you need!
