I love holidays and I love cocktails! Do you guys know that in my previous life (hehe ok like 7 years ago😜) I worked for a large beverage company and part of my job was experimenting with all sorts of yummy cocktail recipes… well today I’m sharing some of my favorite fourth of July themed cocktails with you! All about that red, white and blue!
Firework Pina Colada
INGREDIENTS
- 6 oz frozen strawberries
- 2 tbs white rum
- 2 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 c coconut cream
- 1/2 c Blue Curaçao
- 1/2 c crushed pineapple
- 1/4 c white rum
- whipped cream or coconut cream, optional
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat a small saucepan over medium heat and add frozen strawberries. Cook, stirring, until defrosted and somewhat liquid. Add 2 tbs white rum and blend with a hand-blender or transfer to a blender and puree. Divide between 2 glasses.
- Clean out the blender if it was used for the strawberries and add crushed ice, coconut cream, blue curaçao, pineapple and remaining rum. Blend until combined. Slowly pour into the glasses.
- Top with whipped cream or coconut cream, if desired.
Patriotic Passion Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
- 3 ounce vodka
- 1 ounce Blue Curacao
- 2 1/2 ounce unfiltered apple juice
- 1 1/2 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce jicama buy the whole jicima, 1 ounce is for the nutrition label
- 2 tablespoons raspberries buy the small box of raspberries, 2 tablespoons is for the nutrition label
STAR INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut a jicama in half and save the other half in the fridge. You can use this later for more stars or for a veggie to dunk in a dip or toss in a salad.
- Lay the cut side down on a cutting board.
- Use a chef’s knife to cut down at an angle to cut the skin off. You will take a bit of the jicama with it but that can’t be helped. Now you have a skinned jicama.
- Keep the jicama with the cut side down and make slices that are about 1/4″ thick. See the photo for an idea of the thickness.
- Now push straight down with a small star cookie cutter.
- Put all of the jicama stars and pieces in a container such as a measuring cup and cover them with water. They will keep days in the fridge like this.
COCKTAIL INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix the vodka, Blue Curacao, apple juice and lime juice together.
- It’s potent!
- Fill a tall glass with ice and intersperse with a few raspberries and jicama stars.
- Pour the cocktail mix over the ice and serve with raspberries on a toothpick and a star on the rim.
- One drink is 8 ounces.
Simple 4th of July Cocktail

- 1 part Blue Curacao
- 1 part Vodka
INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill a shot glass 1/3 of the way with grenadine.
- Put a spoon in the glass and pour the Blue Curacao over the back of it. (See the video below for a demonstration.)
- With the spoon, pour cream or vodka over the back of it to make the top layer.
Red, White and Blue Sangria
INGREDIENTS
- 1 bottle (750 ml) Pinot Noir wine (I used Pinot Noir for its tartness)
- 1-1/2 cups cranberry juice
- 1 cup brandy
- juice from one large orange
- simple syrup*
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 6-8 ounces fresh red raspberries
- 6 ounces blackberries
- 1 large apple, sliced very thin
INSTRUCTIONS
- To a large pitcher add wine, cranberry juice, brandy, orange juice and simple syrup.
- Add blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and apple. Chill overnight.
- Fill six glasses 1/2 full with ice and use a slotted spoon to add fruit from the pitcher to each glass. Pour liquid over ice and fruit and serve.
- *For the simple syrup, add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Cool completely.
Red, White, & Blue(berry) Margarita
FROZEN STRAWBERRY MARGARITA INGREDIENTS

- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup agave nectar (or honey)
- extra ice, if needed
FROZEN BLUEBERRY MARGARITA INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (12 ounces) frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup agave nectar (or honey)
- extra ice, if needed
FROZEN COCONUT MARGARITA INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup coconut milk (I recommend full-fat)
- 1/2 cup silver tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup agave nectar (or honey)
- extra ice, if needed
- Optional: a fresh lime wedge and margarita salt or sugar, to rim the glasses
INSTRUCTIONS
- For each of the margarita recipes, add the five ingredients to a blender and pulse until completely smooth. If the mixture is too thin, add extra ice until it is the consistency of a thick slushy. Pour into a container, and store in the freezer while you rinse the blender to make the next batch.
- Use a spoon to scoop your desired first flavor of margaritas into the bottom of your serving glasses until they are 1/3 full. Add your second flavor, and then your final flavor. Serve immediately.

- 8 oz lemonade
- 3 oz blue liquor (UV Blue Vodka, Blue Curacao)
- Blue food coloring , optional

- Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon if desired

- Sprig of mint, lime wedge, and fresh berries to garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a Moscow mule mug or Collins glass, add the berries and lime juice. Lightly mash with a spoon or a muddler.
