I don’t know about you, but this quote has both inspired and haunted me at different times in life.
One of the greatest pains in life
One of the greatest pains in life is that of wasted potential. As humans, we’re driven for progress. Each of us has this burning desire to reach our full potential and be the very best we can in life. We all feel called to something more. And when we ignore this calling to our greater potential or limit ourselves, that is when we begin to feel stuck, stagnant, anxious, or confused. It’s when we lose our passion in life. And that just cannot be!
how do we reach our full potential?
If you’re reading this and thinking “yes please tell me!” please know, that you’re not alone. Reaching your full potential can feel like an impossible uphill battle, but it doesn’t have to. On the contrary, the fact that you are researching ways to grow and work towards your full potential means you are already on the right track.
The truth is, reaching your potential is a lifelong journey, it’s something that will evolve and change as you evolve and change, but committing to personal growth is something you can easily do to move you towards that moving target consistently. And when you do, that’s when feel more energized and at peace along your climb to self-actualization.

John C Maxwell is probably one of my favorite authors for all things personal development. His philosophies are rooted in values and growth for greater good/impact. He is your go-to for all things leadership and lasting impact. This book is a great starting point if you are ready to take the reins on your own personal growth.
2. BLACK HOLE FOCUS – ISAIAH HANKEL
“How Intelligent People Can Create a Powerful Purpose for Their Lives.” This book walks you through steps to take more intentional action in your life so you can live with more passion and meaning. I’ve pulled on this book for my yearly goal setting for the last 5 years now.
3. THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE – STEVEN COVEY
A classic. Aristotle said it best – “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Our life is ultimately the culmination of our habits. The little things we do each day will lead us down a certain path in life. This book gives you some of the most impactful habits for reaching your potential in life.
4. FREE TO FOCUS – MICHAEL HYATT
This book just launched and is pure gold. This book is beyond eye-opening. Have you ever looked at where the majority of your time is spent? Reaching your potential takes focus, but the majority of us waste time on areas that limit us from reaching our potential. In this book, Michael Hyatt helps you get more laser-focused on the activities you should be doing and simplifies the process for you.
5. AWAKEN THE GIANT WITHIN– TONY ROBBINS
Tony Robbins is a leader in the personal development field. He has a way of communicating knowledge that feels real and attainable. This is a great book that calls out to your inner greatness. It helps you take charge of your physical, mental, emotional, and financial destiny in life.
