Are you addicted to struggle? I know that there’s a lot of weight in this question, and you might be thinking that this is a crazy concept, but hear me out….
The purpose of this short video is to help you become unavailable to the struggle in your life.
Okay so here’s how I want you to look at this. More often than not, we become addicted to struggle in our life. It’s that sense of accomplishment that comes from the overcoming, getting through tough times, accomplishing something really tough. That’s great and I’m all about leaning in to hard times because that’s where your growth will happen, but I also want to touch base on other ways we can learn and grow, without going through struggle.
If we base all of our self worth and our self regard on struggling through in life, we’re going to believe we always have to struggle to get ahead.
We’re going to believe we always have to struggle to feel good about ourselves, and that doesn’t have to be the case.
If you want true peace, happiness and fulfillment in your life… why not approach it with the end goal being peace, happiness and fulfillment as opposed to going into your life and thinking, “Okay what do I have to struggle through to get ahead.”
Reframe the question and ask yourself…
“What if peace happiness and fulfillment was just the way of life?
“What can I do now to bring me peace, happiness and fulfillment?”
“What steps towards this goal will make me feel happy and fulfilled in each moment?”
Realize, you’re going to have to grow and you’re going to have to struggle, but you don’t have to start with the struggle.
You can start with asking yourself, “Why do I want this in regards to peace, happiness and fulfillment?”
It’s a radical idea if you’re not used to it. I know I’m someone who has become completely addicted to struggle. This one little shift in terms of how I approach my days, and how I realize that struggle and happiness are choices, has made a huge impact in my life.
It’s all a matter of perspective. So, rather than choosing struggle to get to happiness start with, “What can I do to bring me happiness and what steps will I have to grow through to get there?”
